Funny Kid

I've been laughing a lot at some of the things Grant says. Also, I've been impressed with some of the things he's said. While driving around Bloomington yesterday, he said, "We go to Grandma's House?" I wonder if the brick building reminded him of my parents house? hmmm Along those same lines, we pulled up in front of my friend's house (we've only ever been to her house a couple times) and Grant "Luke and Molly!?" Yes, yes it was Luke and Molly.

A week or so ago, I asked him where his sippy cup was. He paused, then put his finger and thumb on his chin and said, "Hmmm... it's mysterious!" hahah... this kid keeps us laughing all day long.

Songs and Laughs

Grant is our walking iPod. His two latest songs that he sings a lot are "I Love To See The Temple" and "I am a Child of God." Henry is now laughing a lot, and Grant loves singing to him to help out. Either that, or when Henry starts crying, Grant says, "OH PLUG! OH PLUG!" Plug is what we call the pacifier. haha. We love these two little boys, and we hope you enjoy this fun (but kind long) video of the two of them.

On the records...

Henry was blessed this past Sunday, so he's officially on the records of the church.  Don't worry, my mom is the one who took pictures that day, so when I get copies of those, I'll post them.  It was a beautiful blessing (from the little tid-bits I was able to hear... Grant decided NOT to be quiet during the blessing), and we had both my parents (Chicago) and Ben's parents (LA) here for it.  This was the first time that Ben's parents were visiting Bloomington, so we did a few things around town before they left.

Other than that, our household has been pretty boring as of late... Ben goes to school and I stay home with the kids.  I may try some new things this semester.  There is a Rock Climbing group starting at church for some of the women, so I'm kinda stoked about that!  Anyone want to babysit for me?  I also want to start going to the Book Club.  However, I feel stupid... I've never been to one, and I'm kind-a scared to share my opinions about a book with someone other than Ben (he's so nice to me).  AND I want to take a class of somesort- maybe an aerobics class? I need to see what's available in town.

Henry checked in at 11 lbs 13 oz & 23" long at his 2 month check up- though he HUGE to us, he is actually in the 25-50 percentile for his age.  Crazy.  I'm so used to our tiny Grant.  haha.

Here are some photos from this past week or so. Enjoy :)

Ben would probably kill me if he knew I were posting this... it's only a matter of time :/

Both kids.  I think Backyardigans or Little Einsteins was on TV... oops.

Louise with some random statue (I can't remember who it is).

Henry in his new bouncer.  I think? he likes it!

"A BATH today?" Yes, Grant, you get to take a "BATH TODAY!"  haha I tried to be descrete about things...

Closer look at the dirty/cute kid (just stinky!)

Breast Cancer

Last year, I really wanted to do one of the Breast cancer walks, but then I realized how much money and time went into it.  I really HATED fund raisers when I was in high school, so I knew I wouldn't be able to do what I wanted.  HOWEVER... My friend, Randi, has gotten all signed up for the Seattle Walk this year.  I decided that I would donate to her walk and try to get everyone I know to do the same.  Here is her blog and walk sites :

In case you didn't know, my mom went through chemo for breast cancer last year, so this hits home for me.  Please do what you can for Randi!! Thanks :)

2010- Happy New Year!

It's crazy to think that I met Ben in 2006! WHAT!?  Now it's 2010.  It's crazy to think that we've been married for 3 years and have two beautiful little boys.  WHAT!?!  I'm so happy (exluding how I feel about my weight right now) with everything.  Ben starts school tomorrow, so I am back to having BOTH BOYS full time.  Sigh.  Hopefully things go well.  Lucky for us, Grant is being pretty good- he only talks back or wags his finger NO at us every once and a while!!  Funny kid.  Henry is super cute and is smiling all the time.

For Christmas we got a new camera... I'm still learning how to take pictures as good as our old one did, so please be patient with the pictures- they are super focused on shirts and not faces... grr!

Ben and Grant swimming in the pool over Christmas break.  Grant says, "hi!"

Grant was about to go run errands with Ben. I love this little outfit... The hood has "horns" on it.

Henry napping with arms in the air... I wonder if he's dreaming of flying away...

The first picture is Grant at about 8 weeks old.  The second is Henry wearing the same hat and the same age... There is a reason we call him Henry the Tank

Grant enjoying the snow. Gotta love the RED cheeks.

BROTHERS!  Grant's trying to get Henry to smile by tickling his lips, NOT picking Henry's nose!

Henry's cute outfit for Church today!  Grant never wore that shirt... why? Because it was SUMMER by the time he finally fit into it! haha... such opposites :)

Grant in what HE wore to church today... love the face, kid.

And some cute shots of Henry...

Haha... how could you NOT smile and love this little guy when you look at his sweet face!?
I'll try to get more side by side shots of Grant and Henry wearing the same clothes... I'm having a good time seeing how this one grows.  Ben keeps reminding Henry that it's his job to beat up Grant one day to make him tough... haha.

WHERE ARE WE?!?!

don't worry (I'm sure you all have been)... we are alive and well.  We didn't take anymore photos while in Chicago, but we will take a bunch and upload them soon.  Our small and once 6 lbs 9 oz baby boy is now 11 pounds... WHAT!?!?  Talk about OPPOSITES!  I don't know what to do!  Pictures to come soon :)
