Last Week in Town

The hours are beginning to count down, and we take off on Saturday. I'm getting pretty sad. It doesn't seem real to us at ALL. Everything about this move doesn't seem like it's really happening (other than the pile of boxes in our living room). But alas, we ARE moving. We WILL be in Idaho next week, and we WILL be moving to a new house, and we WILL be in college student mode again, and we WILL be having a baby in Aug. AHHH. Crazy. Okay, enough ramblings, I'll post some crazy pictures from this last week. Mostly from the tornado warning we had, but some of our cute boys, too (because that's why anyone actually reads this blog, right?).

Some crazy clouds before the storm hit us.

After the storm, these clouds were cool looking as they revealed the s
A small little flower in our front yard. I've been meaning to take a few lame pictures of it before we mow the lawn.

Haha- Henry. "Cheesy Cheese!"

This is where Grant and Henry were during the tornado sirens. In the hallway- so deep in thought.
This picture makes me smile. He loves apples, and he LOVE THE MUPPET'S. He is watching the movie and trying to pose for me... haha.

Well- we have LESS THAN two weeks left till our move, and it is GOR.GE.OUS. out. I'm sure it's been wonderful everywhere around the country, but spring (summer?) is in full bloom! It's going to be in the 80s tomorrow and Tuesday- I think maybe a trip to the beach? Yes. We went for a walk today and took a couple pictures. I want to get pictures of this beautiful place before we leave so we can always remember beautiful Bloomington. Also, I want to be able to have some cool pictures to print for our new home.

I don't know what this tree is, but it's right outside our door and every I look outside I think that it has snowed (even though it's 80 degrees outside).

Ben took these pictures. I think I'll print some of these.

Climbing the excessive equipment on our walk.

 This is his "Cheesey Cheese!"

A few daffodils. Not as cool as the pictures Ben took (because I took these).

Ah- these kids crack me up. Total monkeys.

Stress of Moving

We move in two and half weeks.

This alone is cause for stress. However, we have the added pleasure of MORE stress due to the craziness that is our life. If you've missed the story, we are going back to Idaho so I can go back to school. I left BYU-I without my degree, and it was always something I knew I needed to finish. See, if you didn't know- I married a guitar player :) He and I are both well aware that I may need to support our family at one point down the road, and a degree of my own will probably help.

Here is the list of what is causing the stress:
-We have no place (as of today) to live when we arrive (but that's another story)
-I'm taking an online class right now
-I have two crazy kids
-I am pregnant with another
-We are totally broke. haha!?
-Ben doesn't have a job yet in Idaho- that will come- not too worried about that one.

Not too bad of a list, right? Ugh- today was SO BEAUTIFUL that I didn't get anything done because we let the boys roam the backyard for FIVE hours. Awesome because they're now in bed, but my house is still a mess. So the living arrangements- we are literally in the middle of negotiating prices on a house that is being built right now. The price is great- but it's listed w/o them finishing the basement. So we're trying to get them to do that plus not totally break the small bank we already seem to be cracking. However it's an awesome house. We're giddy about it. But poor Ben is more stressed than I am about it. Anyone else get that way?! Wanna see the house? This will embarrassing if we don't get it- but here are the couple of pictures we took when walking through. It wasn't one we really considered until this week... so sorry there aren't more:

Obviously this is the stairs, but the front door is to the left. This picture is basically of the living room, but thru the archway is the dinning and kitchen. It'll look pretty cool when it's done.
Here is the outside. I thought it looked pretty tiny when we walked up to it- but that's misleading.
I NEVER thought we'd consider looking at a house that  1- is new constructing and 2- has a HUGE arss garage as it's focal point. Eh- oh well. Not too much on the market at the moment. But we love the house and if all goes well- I can get the jetted tub I've been dreaming about. ESPECIALLY now that I'm pregnant. I hate when people suggest taking a bath to "relax." Really? My pregnant belly does NOT fit into a normal sized tub. It is NOT relaxing :) Well- that's the story. Anyone is welcome to come and help us pack up!

Coolest Brothers

Being a mom is hard, but when you have boys as cool as ours- it makes it worth while. Grant is pretty funny. He has a fascination with evil characters from movies. He loves the classic lines from all the Disney movies, but it's now become a rule in our house that talking like "bad guys" is against the rules! But he is starting to read a little bit and he is starting (finally?) to ask a lot of questions.  Such a curious boy! He is funny because he is bummed out we didn't get any snow this year- so I guess that's a good reason we're moving to Idaho- so he can have some snow (more than I'd like, but he'll be happy). Henry is just as awesome as ever. He is talking like crazy now- or rather- we're starting to understand most of what he is saying. He is SO affectionate. He loves to give kisses, hugs, and say "I love you." Aw- such a cutie pie. We took the boys outside the other day and had a little photo shoot with them. If these picture look familiar, it's because we just posted them on FB (or you got one in your inbox). Here are most of the pictures that we took.

So there you have it. I think everyone should now by know- but we are adding another cool kid to our crew. Baby #3 is due Aug. 22 (if you missed that on the chalkboard). That is my dad's bday and he emailed me back and said, "Pick another date." I guess I am now 16 weeks pregnant. CRAZY! We have our anatomy scan next week, and NO- we won't find out what this one is (other than a human). The things that I worry about are HEAD SIZE and SHOULDER WIDTH (have you met Ben?)! If they seem normal- I'm good to go. We are really excited about this baby addition! One thing that I hate about being pregnant is that everyone else seems to be too. I don't like feeling like I'm one of a hundred other women- but this time around, I think almost everyone I know if pregnant! I'm excited for everyone else, of course, but sometimes I feel like I want my pregnancies to be special (does that make sense?). OF COURSE they are special, but it's a strange thing that I've always felt. It'll be crazy being back in school and having another kid, but we planned it so the baby will be born at the beginning of my off track. We have a good 8 months to figure out how to handle January of next year :)

Other than the baby, we move in less than 4 weeks, and we have SO MUCH TO DO!! Anyone want to help us? Hopefully we can get the packing done. I've already packed 90% of my clothes. Most of our books are packed, and now we have the rest of the house. Tomorrow I'll hit up the liquor stores for boxes ;) Also- anyone in Bloomington wan to buy our pull out couch? Let us know!

One more down...

Ben and I took off this past weekend and headed to the Bay Area for Ben's brother's wedding (his only brother). We left the boys for 5 days and 4 nights. It was so stressful planning for us being gone- and we were so busy that we hardly had any time to ourselves, but it was still wonderful to have a productive break.

Here are a few pictures from the wedding. Don't worry- we put the camera away before the bride and groom walked out the doors of the temple- so the pictures are of everyone hanging out outside (which was FOREVER! haha).

View from the Oakland Temple
(that is San Fransisco)
Baby Owen- without all of the grandkids there- Owen got ALL of the attention- he deserves it-
he's adorable!
 Oakland Temple
Grandma (the great) Mathews, Ben, Chelsea and Sarah. Pretty picture!
 Creepy Much?
The Jacobson Family (minus two)... such a cute picture!
 Louise and Sarah

I realized that we didn't get any pictures of Emily because she was in helping the bride. We had a blast at the wedding- even tho it was a super fast trip. And congrats to Todd and Janae!!!

We also took a quick trip to Rexburg so we could look at places to live. Hopefully in the next few weeks we can update you on that as well.
